Birth Control

Birth control – also known as contraception – prevents you from becoming pregnant when you’re not ready. It also helps you plan for your family’s future by helping you space when you have your children.

Do you know what kind of birth control is right for you?  IFHC’s Family Planning Resource locations provide low-cost or free birth control both on-site and by referral, including:

 

• The Patch                                                     
• Depo-Provera®                                             
• Diaphragm
• Emergency Contraceptive Pills
• Female Condom
• IUD
• NuvaRing®
• Male Condom
• The MiniPill
• The Pill
• Vaginal Spermicides

If you are interested in Female/Male Sterilization or Implanon, Family Planning Resources can make the referral to the appropriate provider.

A Family Planning Resource staff member can talk privately with you about the above options.  We can also offer information on non-medical or non-prescription birth control, including Abstinence, Calendar/Rhythm, Natural Family Planning, and Withdrawal methods.
